Resumen

This is a controversial book, addressed to the slanderers of the Latin American Liberator Simón Bolívar. It is the posthumous work of the recently disappeared Cuban historian Jorge Ibarra Cuesta. With “Simón Bolívar, between Scylla and Charybdis”, its author intends to vindicate the liberator of the attacks of certain historiography, clarifying the historical truth about two controversial aspects related to the life of the founder of Colombia: the arrest of Francisco de Miranda in 1812 and the “Right to Wage War to Death” proclaimed the following year.
