Description in English: Nursing care in the promotion of mental health during human development is a text guide addressed to nurses in training to strengthen their professional competencies in mental health care, guiding them to become holistic, humanized, dynamic and integrated caregivers in interprofessional work.  In order to fulfill this task, mental health topics on the promotion and encouragement of healthy lifestyles, specific nursing care for therapeutic approaches, articulated to the disciplinary knowledge from nursing theories and the application of the nursing process as a fundamental tool of care are included.  To facilitate its use by teachers and students, each of the chapters is complemented with guides and workshops for the care of the person, family and community. This text is the product of compilations of different theorists and the methodologies presented have been used and evaluated during different educational processes. As authors of this compendium we express the desire to share new concepts and new forms of action, believing in the cohesion of efforts and wills, from the integration of commitments and goals for personal and professional growth in nursing.
