Description in English: Postmodernity must be understood as part of a historical-cultural continuum in which different paths intersect. If, as human beings, we are constant collectors and consumers of experiences, as scholars, we are also inexhaustible improvisers of frameworks that allow us to investigate the world we are a part of as we seek to understand it better. Inevitably responding to a summon for humanistic formation, this is explored as we venture INSERT INTO the contemporary Colombian novel within a postmodern context. It is undeniable that we continue moving through different epistemological terrain, and new modes of representation have appeared before us; but this does not mean that together with the challenged value of language, the consequent devaluation of great speeches, or the vanished power of the author —among other things—, we cannot rescue the value of human experience transformed INSERT INTO writing exercises. More than a marginal comment on the abundant theoretical proposals that continue to shake our field of study, this analysis focuses on the crucial role of specific discursive strategies, recognizable in each of the chosen novels, as revealing signs of their identity.
