Description in English: This book is the result of a research project that tries to evidence the dialectical relationship between reading and writing, considering the first thing children learn to read is not regulated by the school but by the family environment and the immediate cultural surroundings. What they learn to read naturally, especially in urban spaces, is linked to the world of visual images quickly assimilated through television, magazines and newspapers, billboards, street advertisements, and advertising statements in consumer goods. The project in question focused on working with primary education teachers, who reflected on their pedagogical practices in search of alternatives that would allow children to produce texts at school from the beginning, experience the wonder of knowing the language we speak, and gradually gain access to the fundamental skills required to live in society. This book holds the voices of teachers interested in learning more about the social phenomenon of reading and writing and concerned about the disdain for printed texts accentuating among adults.
