Description in English: The research book School Management and School Crisis highlights the transcendental role that principals and coordinators have in learning, educational quality, and the human development of students in educational institutions. Their success is the consequence of effective management practices. These practices are effective when the political, economic, social, technological, environmental, legal or judicial, and cultural contexts of students, teachers, families, administrative staff, and managers are considered. Additionally, this work shows that the school crisis arises not only due to deficient managerial practices but also because of politicians and rulers who do not guarantee optimal conditions for quality education. Likewise, it is revealed in this work that both pedagogical and curricular development and organizational development are critical to overcoming the school crisis and achieving higher educational quality. The effective practices or best practices of principals of the best official educational institutions of Santa Marta and the deficiencies or deficient practices of the educational institutions with the lowest results in the Saber 11 tests are highlighted in this book. Finally, the best managerial practices are presented to overcome the school crisis from other international contexts reported in the relevant literature.
