Description in English: This book presents research on the configuration of new territories and regional territorialities by diverse social groups including indigenous peoples, peasants, and urban cultures. The texts were presented in 2019 at the XVII Congress of Anthropology in Colombia held at the ICESI University in Cali. From an interdisciplinary perspective, the book aims to foster dialogue between the experiences of various social groups within their territories and researchers in the social and human sciences. The texts presented are inscribed in the different regional geographies resulting from the interactions, negotiations, and conflicts between these groups with the state and companies, within a society that is increasingly linked to economic and political flows and transnational cultures, deeply unequal and affected by violence and armed conflict, migratory movements of the population, wars, the irruption of new technologies, and the mass consumption model of certain products that shape the ways of being, feeling, thinking, and experiencing, influencing the disposition, transformation, or progressive destruction of their territories and territorialities, and the emergence of new subjects seeking differentiation and alternatives in order to survive. Therefore, within the presented texts, readers will discover how the aforementioned issues, including conflicts, state policies, and development models in the territories, give rise to multiple contradictions that manifest in the daily lives of communities, serving as constants in the transformation and evolution of Colombian society.
