This book aims to demonstrate the diversity of perspectives regarding the Caribbean space, rather than defining it as a singular concept or perception. Positions vary from those accepting its classification as a 'region of regions' to those denying such a categorization altogether. Additionally, the book argues that despite some shared characteristics among its members, they are far from forming a cohesive unit in terms of identity. To contribute to a comprehensive understanding of this complex space, the essays within address the historical, anthropological, sociological, geopolitical, and economic aspects of the Caribbean and how it is defined and configured.
