Description in English: The department of Magdalena is an extensive privileged territory of Colombian geography, covering 23,188 km 2. Its geography encompasses all thermal levels, from the cold of the glaciers and the temperate climate of its mountains, to the warm, dry tropical forest of its coasts and riverside towns. It has coastal areas, mountain ranges, plains, wetlands, lagoons, and countless rivers that descend from its mountains, providing incalculable wealth in terms of fauna and flora. At the same time, its colorful cities and town centers are full of stories, anecdotes, and myths. Above all, we must highlight the inhabitants, who are kind, hard-working, and happy people rooted in their customs.
