Description in English: This book intends to provide students who begin to study physics as part of engineering programs with a compendium of definitions and theory in the fields of electrostatics and magnetostatics. It helps them reduce the transition time between the conceptualization of the contents taught by the professor and their appropriate application to some real situations. Each chapter initiates with a brief introduction that helps the student —through self-assessment and review activities— to evaluate the importance of the topic covered. Special importance is also given to the selection of problems and the detailed explanation of their solutions. For this, each section closes with a series of solved and proposed exercises. This book is expected to become a mandatory reference for students and professors of electromagnetism.
