Description in English: This book arises as a result of a research project in the fishing sector for the preparation of a doctoral thesis funded by the University of Magdalena and the Erasmus Mundus program of the European Union. The purpose of the study was to develop a model of innovation and technological development that increases the management capacity to achieve true economic and social development of the regions that have traditionally lived off of fishing. The work is based on open information systems, which allows productive agents to have common knowledge and minimize risks in making business decisions. Likewise, the policies and strategies designed are based on the behavior of the market and the final consumer, assuming that the latter, in a rational and equitable manner, determines the volume and price of the product they wish to consume, in an oligopolistic market of poorly differentiated products.
